Great Dixter

Our next garden to visit was Great Dixter.  Great Dixter was the family home of Christopher Lloyd, a gardener and writer.  The home, actually three houses, date back to medieval times!

What a contrast to Sissinghurst this garden was.  It was all chaos, color and plants.  In fact, I don't believe I've ever seen so much plant material in one place!  Clearly, someone exuberant about gardening planned and planted this garden!

Man, these people know how to grow some hedges.

Again, I just love the mown paths.
